The Internet Innovation Alliance is a broad-based coalition of business and non-profit organizations that aim to ensure every American, regardless of race, income or geography, has access to the critical tool that is broadband Internet. The IIA seeks to promote public policies that support equal opportunity for universal broadband availability and adoption so that everyone, everywhere can seize the benefits of the Internet - from education to health care, employment to community building, civic engagement and beyond.

Maximizing Broadband Stimulus Dollars

The federal government will spend $7.2 billion on broadband in communities all over the country in the coming months.  This Internet Academy will focus on providing information about the way that NTIA and RUS will be allocating this money.  We will cover topics like eligibility, process, and timing as well as give a perspective on how this money can transform and empower communities at the local level.
