If you were a child in the ’70s, ’80s, or ’90s, you probably have fond memories of watching the iconic children’s television show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood – a show committed to nurturing the minds of young children. Fast forwards a few decades and robotics and AI company Embodied, along with Pixar, Jim Henson Productions, and experts in education and child development, have taken the show’s themes into the 21st century with a new robot designed to help boost the social and emotional skills of 5- to 10-year-olds. The AI-enabled robot, named Moxie, is a friendly pal for kids, encouraging them to read, draw, and engage with their family and peers.
