While on the outside, the HP Elite Dragonfly G2 looks like its predecessor, the HP Elite Dragonfly, the new model announced at CES 2020 comes with two major feature upgrades — a 5G modem and a built-in Tile tracker.
Offering faster 5G speeds built directly into the laptop, the Qualcomm X55 LTE + 5G modem will provide built-in support for the next-gen wireless standard. Details about carrier support and pricing have yet to be released. The Elite Dragonfly G2 will also come with an optional built-in Tile tracker — a first for a laptop. Tile’s Bluetooth trackers have been keeping track of laptops for years, but this new innovation will allow users to track their device anywhere without separate hardware.
