A new analysis by Opensignal comparing 5G real-world download speeds in eight countries shows that the maximum download speeds for 5G smartphone users is up to 2.7 times faster than 4G users’ top speeds. Of the eight countries studied, the U.S. saw the fastest maximum speeds for 5G users with 1,815 Mbps, followed by Switzerland with 1,145 Mbps, and South Korea with 1,071 Mbps. 5G maximum speeds are expected to continue to increase as 5G networks expand their reach.
