The COVID-19 pandemic has heavily changed our daily behaviors, especially the amount of time we spend online. According to Verizon’s Look Forward Study, American adults are consuming more streaming content online during the pandemic. 59% of respondents stated they spend at least three hours a week watching video streaming content. This represents a 21% increase in traffic on the major video streaming sites since the pandemic began. Most respondents (82%) believe they will spend the same amount of time or more streaming content over the next year.

The study also identified that people stream for work more than ever before. Video conferencing has increased by an extraordinary 2,872% since pre-pandemic levels. 70% of those online workers also hope to remain working from home at least one or two days a week after the pandemic.
