USTelecom recently analyzed pricing trends for speeds and popular tiers of broadband service. According to the data, entry-level broadband pricing declined by nearly 23% from 2015 to 2021, and in the past year, prices have dropped nine percent. In dollars, prices decreased from $45.58 in 2015 to $31.35 in 2021.

The study also finds that consumers are receiving faster service at a lower cost. Download speeds have increased by 161.9% since 2015, and have increased 94.2% in the past year alone. This indicates that even during times of increased usage, competition in the marketplace is working to deliver affordable, high-quality broadband service to all consumers.
