With millions of Americans staying home to help fight the spread of coronavirus, broadband usage has surged. According to a report by OpenVault, the average monthly data consumed by U.S. broadband customers in the first quarter of 2020 reached almost 403 GB, up 47% from the 2019 first-quarter average of about 274 GB. Median monthly usage saw even sharper increases, up nearly 60% from Q1 of 2019.
