A recent report from Pew Research found that 91% of American adults have at least a smartphone device or a broadband subscription. The amount of people with smartphone and broadband access has each increased by 4% respectively since 2019. While there is slight growth in broadband adoption, approximately a quarter of the U.S. population does not have a broadband connection at home. Those without a connection state financial restraints as the top reason for not purchasing high-speed internet.
