The Wireless on Wheels program in Louisa County, Virginia brings internet connectivity to underserved students and families via a fleet of solar-powered hotspots on trailers stationed at public schools, parking lots, and other strategic locations throughout the county.

The program was designed by Louisa County Public Schools as a means to provide students and families with limited at-home connectivity access to online learning resources. Each hotspot trailer is built by students from the public school district, requires an open area the size of a parking space, and can provide an internet signal for up to five devices at once within a 200ft radius.
