Created by the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), Connect.DC works to bridge the digital divide by making technology easier to use, more accessible, more affordable, and more relevant to the everyday lives of District residents.
Since 2010, The District of Columbia Office of the Chief Technology Officer has been awarded $4,041,816 in federal grants for District of Columbia’s Broadband Initiative.
Another $17,457,764, accounting for 0.5% of all federal infrastructure grants, was awarded to broadband infrastructure projects in District of Columbia.
